Sugandha is a passionate mental health advocate, driven by open conversations and self-reflection from a young age. She strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences—one conversation at a time. Her practice is rooted in a person-centred approach and draws on evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and elements of Positive Psychology.
Since a very young age she has had exposure to different cultures and countries as her parents and later spouse moved countries/cities often, taking her to locations like Zambia, Papua New Guinea, different states in India, and Singapore. This ongoing experience of transition extended to her career—moving from the corporate sector to establishing a small business, becoming a cake artist, and teaching Maths and Creative Writing to neighbourhood children. These varied life chapters have nurtured a sense of empathy and connection with people from diverse backgrounds, while giving her an understanding of what it takes to rebuild a life repeatedly and learning to bloom where one is planted. She aims to challenge stigma and raise awareness about mental health, fostering a supportive community where individuals can begin to heal, strive to grow and potentially thrive.
She adopts a collaborative approach to support clients of all age groups as they navigate challenges related to relationship or parenting concerns, work-related issues, self-development, stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief or general sense of diminished wellbeing.
Sugandha takes out time to volunteer at Halogen Foundation in their Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) program, which empowers secondary school students with financial literacy and problem-solving skills. She is an avid reader , enjoys jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and crafting functional miniature art for dollhouses. She finds grounding in mindfulness and values deep conversations with her spouse, children, and her four-year-old dog.
Sugandha is currently completing her practicum placement at Holding Ground (Psychology Practice), as part of her Postgraduate Psychotherapy program requirements. She is available on Monday and Saturday afternoons for both in person and online sessions and can provide therapy in English and Hindi.
