Chloe Tan

Counselling Psychologist, Master of Arts (Applied Psychology)

MSPS

Registered Clinical Supervisor with SAC

Chloe is a registered counselling psychologist with over 15 years of experience journeying with individuals, couples, and families through emotional, relational, and psychological challenges. Known for her warm and grounded presence, she offers a space where clients feel safe, heard, and deeply respected.

She is a full member and Registered Psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society, and a Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).

Her approach is person-centred and collaborative, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (CTRT), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. She also incorporates psychoeducation and coaching when helpful, always tailoring sessions to each client’s unique goals, pace, and lived experience.

Chloe has a particular interest in supporting clients through grief and loss, burnout, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and relationship difficulties. As the eldest daughter of parents with little formal education and a sibling with special needs, she grew up in a home where caregiving demands were high and resources limited. She understands firsthand the emotional labour and quiet stress that often accompany family responsibility—especially for women who take on invisible roles.

She also brings deep insight into the adjustment challenges faced by young men serving National Service. Having worked in the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) for six years—including as the inaugural psychologist for BMTC School V—she is well-acquainted with the military system and its unique pressures. She supports servicemen in navigating transition stress, identity shifts, and emotional regulation, and works sensitively with parents seeking support for their sons.

Chloe believes therapy should be an empowering process—one that nurtures clarity, healing, and long-term well-being. She offers in-person and online sessions for adolescents, adults, and couples, and welcomes clients from all walks of life.

Alongside her clinical work, she has provided supervision to junior psychologists within MINDEF, as well as to youth workers and counsellors in social service and community settings. Clinical supervision is available upon request.

Outside of work, Chloe enjoys yoga, crocheting, travelling, and spending time with her two cats, Olive and Lola.
