Dai Meimei
Counsellor-in-Training
Master of Guidance and Counselling (candidate)
James Cook University Singapore

Meimei provides reduced-fee therapy as part of her clinical training.
Meimei believes that healing starts in a space that feels safe and supportive — where your experiences are met with compassion, not judgment and kindness. Believing that each person carries their own unique story, she is deeply driven to support others in their healing and growing.
Meimei adopts a client-centred approach and integrates different therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Schema Therapy. She works collaboratively with clients to explore difficult thoughts and feelings, gently unpack past wounds, and help them move toward a life that feels content and meaningful.
Having lived and worked across different countries in Europe, Asia, and in the U.S., Meimei brings a global perspective and deep appreciation for diverse life stories. Spending over a decade in the corporate world in tech, Meimei also connects well with clients facing complex challenges navigating career and life.
As a mother of two young toddlers, she is attuned to the evolving emotional terrain of parenthood, work-life balance and family life. She's also no stranger to the constant struggle between 'doing-it-all' and care for herself. These roles and transitions, both personal and professional, have enriched her ability to connect with clients navigating a wide range of challenges — from career crossroads and motherhood struggles to questions of identity, personal growth and value.
Outside the therapy room, Meimei spent most of her time with her family. Whenever she can, she finds joy in the little things — bullet journalling with lofi music on, reading a book and joining a dance class.

Meimei is currently pursuing her Master of Guidance and Counselling programme at James Cook University Singapore. Her practice is closely supervised by Ms Yammie Chin, Co-Founder and Principal Clinical Psychologist from Holding Ground (Psychology Practice) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (SRP) to ensure quality client care.

As a Counsellor-in-Training, Meimei provides therapy at a subsidised rate. She is available for both in person and online therapy.
